"President Trump was taken off stage out of an abundance of caution after what appears to have been a gunshot," the statement said. "He is fine, and the rally will continue shortly."
Witnesses Report Gunshots
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots during Trump's speech. The shots were reportedly fired from a wooded area near the rally site.
Security staff quickly escorted Trump off the stage and into a secure area.
